Death doesn’t need to be here

Jan 16, 2021.16/365 days of Daily Writing Practice + life lessons journal of sorts. I’m committing to writing ~100-word article daily. Short or long-form. Ugly or brilliant. The objective is to write daily for 15 mins without fail, even when life happens.

Death is such a splash of ice cold water reminding you to live life to the fullest. Live in love, in kindness, in compassion, in generosity, in greeting people you meet on the street, in doing things you love.

Because NO ONE is promised tomorrow. We all only have today until we wake up tomorrow.

Say your thank yous, your I love yous, your I’m sorrys. Don’t wait to do it til next time that might never be.

Laugh, make someone laugh, support your friends’ small businesses, make fun of the silliest things, remember someone else’s favorites and surprise them when you have the opportunity.

Take risks. Start a business. Choose what’s right. Do honest trade. Volunteer. Help your community. Organize relief operations for calamity victims.

Keep trying to be a great parent even if in trying you also keep failing.

Keep creating. Don’t stop designing. Keep being original. Maintain a certain standard.

In the midst of this life, be the energy that makes people light and bright.

In your eulogy have people say, s/he was such a positive force they’re speechless shocked to experience a deep void.

Remember that death doesn’t need to be here to choose to be kind, be good, be forgiving.

And the best thing is, you can always start today.

Be the light that makes others sparkle. ✨

(Thank you, Tito Nap, for being all these and more.)
